جهاز LifeBox

Recently, a high-tech medical device was announced, which many of us needed during the COVID crisis: the LifeBox device. This device is a small portable computer that contains several medical devices and equipment to perform multiple functions: measuring heartbeats, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, and body temperature. It also has an ear and throat camera, among other features that enable anyone to conduct necessary medical tests independently and send the data to their doctor or any healthcare information system.

Professional medical staff and patients use it to measure vital clinical parameters or on-demand continuously.

The person can also communicate with their doctor via video technology through this device, which includes algorithms for rapid medical data analysis using artificial intelligence for initial and quick diagnoses of medical conditions. The LifeBox also acts as a medical gateway or Internet of Things gateway for additional monitoring devices and wearable sensors that can be used by the patient or are already present in their living environment. Moreover, AI-based analysis is provided for both the patient and the consultant. Further measurement instructions can be suggested for reading to verify the accuracy of the initial AI analysis. Finally, medical records can be securely shared among different parties while respecting patient privacy and consent.

Four companies from Tunisia and Canada developed this device in collaboration with various experts, and it will be manufactured and distributed in Tunisia.
